Cigna said that its arrangement with ProHealth cut down on unnecessary emergency-room visits. ProHealth opened up urgent-care clinics in areas where people were using hospital ERs excessively. As a result, Cigna customers who have ProHealth doctors had a 7 percent lower rate of using emergency rooms than all other Cigna customers on the market, which is to say, Connecticut. Read More.
